How Much do you charge?

I have 3 Wedding Packages available which can be viewed here. For all other events or for something more bespoke, contact me directly via this form. Depending on location, petrol/travel charges may apply. There may be a slight surcharge for last-minute bookings or bookings at peak occasions (E.g. Valentines Day, New Year’s Eve).

Do you require a deposit?

I ask for a non-refundable pre-payment of 10% of the total booking fee upon receipt of an invoice sent to you. I then ask for the remaining balance to be paid 2 months prior to the date of your booking.

Do you accept credit cards?

Unfortunately, I do not accept payments by credit cards. The best way to pay is via BACS transfer.

how far in advance can i book?

I can take bookings up to 2 years in advance.

where are you based and how far do you travel?

I am currently based in North Somerset, UK, but travel up and down the country for bookings. I am happy to travel distances of up to 3.5h driving time.

How long do you play for?

Set lengths vary depending on what you are looking for. For a standard performance, I can perform anything from a 15-minute show to 3x 45 mins sets (or equivalent). For something more specific/bespoke, try my packages.

what songs do you play and do you take requests?

Can we choose the set lists?

Definitely! Select your favourite songs and I will create a tailored playlist to suit your event.

How many songs do we need to select?

For a Wedding Ceremony, x5 (entrances, register signings and exit). For pre-ceremony music/Receptions, x10/30 mins.

Do you play Acoustic or Electric Violin?

I can perform on an Acoustic Violin or an Electric violin, depending on your preference and the style/setting of your event.

Do you play alongside backing tracks?

Yes. Depending on the request, I am able to play along to a backing track in the style of the original, or to an acoustic version.

Do you provide your own pa/sound system?

Yes. For small, more intimate settings, I play using a Fender 40W Champion Amp. For larger events (such as Receptions), I play using a Bose L1 Compact PA System.

are you able to perform outside?

Yes, so long as I have a cover to play under which protects my instrument and my equipment, in case of bad weather. Access to a plug socket is desirable, however, I carry my own portable power supply.

how much space do you require?

I require a space approximately 2m x 2m to play freely. At your request, I can perform wirelessly and move around to interact with guests as I perform, so long as I am in the same room/space as my amp.

my venue requires public liability insurance and pat testing. are you covered?

Of course! I am a member of the Musician’s Union and have Public Liability Insurance cover up to £10,000,000. All of my equipment is PAT tested.

how much time do you need to set up?

I usually aim to arrive between 45 - 60 mins before I am due to start performing. I will need this time to set up my equipment and do a quick sound check.

will you require refreshments?

I kindly ask for a glass of water/drink if playing for a ceremony, If playing for post-ceremony, a light snack/meal.

can I see you perform before I book?
